Share the location
Give the road name, nearby landmark or carpark level, plus a safe contact point. Tell us whether the vehicle starts or rolls, and whether it is blocking traffic or parked in a restricted-access area. If there has been a collision, mention visible leaks or loose parts. Share photographs only when you can take them from a safe position; there is no need to enter a live traffic lane to document the damage.
Check the vehicle
Battery and tyre problems may call for roadside assistance. If the vehicle cannot be safely driven, explain its type and condition so suitable towing can be discussed. A brief restart does not necessarily resolve the problem. Safety comes before collection
If you are on an expressway, follow the Land Transport Authority’s breakdown guidance: move to the road shoulder if possible, switch on hazard lights and call LTA’s 24-hour hotline for EMAS assistance. Do not try to repair the vehicle on the expressway. Once you and the vehicle are in a safe place, you can arrange any onward private towing.
